Soul Oasis Where You Can Awaken Your Mind Body & Soul

Soul Oasis Spa (SOS) isn’t your typical spa. You won’t find hair dryers or shellac, or the smell of mystery chemicals that often give a headache to an aspirin. Instead, you will find Himalayan salt lamps, essential oils, and many other tools to help you on your journey to total health and wellness.

Once you enter, you find peace, support, and the perfect environment for finding balance (even in this chaotic world of ours). Owner Stephanie Amey and her staff welcome anyone and everyone. They are always willing to educate those who are even just curious about trying a new type of healing, and will always explain and elaborate on anything you want to know more about.

SOS offers many modalities of healing, including Light Therapy, Acupuncture, Massage, Foot Pampering (All-Natural, Vegan products used), Tai Chi and much more. The variety of healing methods and products they offer could be called by some people “alternative medicine,” or “holistic,” but either way you see it, it is a healing that includes all of you—mind, body, soul—in the process.

Last, but certainly not least, because it is an important aspect of Soul Oasis: The Float Tank is an absolute client (and staff) favorite at SOS. It is a great way to get started with all of your healing needs at the spa. It will turn anyone’s “OMG” to simply “Om.”

How it works? Float your stress away. Balance your magnesium (most of us in America are deficient in this mineral anyway). Float your pain away. Float all of your problems away.

Okay, maybe not ALL of them, but it’s still pretty amazing! There’s 250 gallons of water, making it roughly 10 inches deep. Maintained at the average skin temperature of 93.5ºF plus 950 pounds of Epsom salt (yes, that’s a LOT, and yes, this is how you can float effortlessly).

And what do “floaters” expect? Float Tanks are typically known for the sensory deprivation they provide. This allows you to totally relax, enjoy the quiet, and meditate, pray, or however you wish to spend your hour floating, without any distractions.

If it sounds exotic, you can check out the process and the new location on Facebook! (Hint: check live videos)

Some of the top reasons people use the Float Tank include:

  • arthritis,
  • pain,
  • fibromyalgia,
  • psoriasis and eczema
  • sleeping disorders.

The salt and minerals easily flow between the water and your skin, bringing you balance all-around. When you float, you eliminate the effects of gravity and your brain has much less environmental input to process—so you have the greatest potential for maximum relaxation and healing.

Did someone say “peace and quiet… for an hour?” Yes! (And—ahem— Mother’s and Father’s Days are coming up, kids.)

Massage is a great way to complement the benefits of floating. Massage alone provides much physical and psychological relief, but when you couple the two, you allow your body to heal even further. And, if you really need to kick those Winter Blues, try the Light Therapy while you wait.

Phototherapy (also known as Full Spectrum Light Therapy) is a safe, natural, and highly effective treatment for a variety of ailments, including Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD—a very appropriate acronym), Depression and Fatigue, among many, many more conditions.

Soul Oasis always provides a welcoming environment, whether you stay for a Group Meditation or just stop by to check out their gift shop, you will be happy you stopped. Stephanie and the SOS staff will always give respect, genuine acceptance and compassion as they guide you towards relaxation, renewal, and awakening.
